Fused Glass Botanical Print Mobile Suncatcher  - 4 stars + 1 moon

Handmade mobile made with Botanical Fused Glass and Copper
This suncatcher or light catcher comes ready to hang with a copper chain.

The delicate white figures seen in the glass are ashes from the plants that were once there before being burnt off in the kiln.
This way, they leave their ghostly image behind.
They may seem extremely delicate and even fleeting, however, being trapped in the glass they are eternal.

Glass pieces are handmade and may have irregularity and imperfections that add extra charm and uniqueness to every single one of them.
Not only the suncatcher itself, but also the each glass piece is one of a kind with one of a kind plant in it.
Therefore there maybe slight difference between what you see in images here and what you will receive. But you will receive a more or less similar thing.

Please be reminded that my concept is not about capturing solid prints from each plant, but about capturing rather fading and decaying images of living matters - that somehow feels more real to me.  So no complaints please if you find some figures imperfect!

All plants are locally sourced in forests in Flanders (Belgium) and then fused in the glass to be permanent.
I also try upcycling the glass whenever possible, typically from unwanted or broken picture frames.

Please manage with care as they are glass thus are breakable upon crushing against or falling onto hard surfaces.

Height : approximately 66 cm including the hanging chain (the metal + glass part is about 44cm)
The glass piece : approximately 5 x 5 cm
